You can use the Dynamic Table of Contents (TOC) to view the structure of the Marshall Township VIC, identify your current location, and navigate to any location. The Table of Contents is updated dynamically as you move through the Ordinances via the “Previous” and “Next” buttons at the top of each screen or via other hypertext links. There are two icons in the Table of Contents, “books” and “documents.” Book icons indicate a group of documents that are associated together like one section of an Ordinance.
Using the TOC
To open a “Book” and display its
contents in a hierarchical fashion in the TOC, click on the “Book Icon.”
To display the Book contents in the right frame, click on the “Title” of
the Book. Clicking on any of the “Pages” in the TOC will display that page
in the right frame. The books will automatically open and close as you
move through the site ensuring you always know where you are. If for some reason
the TOC gets “out of sync” with your location, click on the Contents button to
re-sync the TOC.
You can temporarily close the TOC by clicking on the small “x” in the upper right corner of the TOC frame. To show it again, click on the “Contents” button. You can also resize the width of the TOC by clicking and dragging the vertical line that separates the TOC and the right frame that displays the code.

> When you are finished with this section -- Click the “Next” button at the top of the page to continue with the Using VIC instructions. The next section is “Index.”
