The illustrated commentary consists of a slide show containing a series of pictures or a video clip (in Flash format) that includes captions for each image or video, accompanied by explanatory text. These are viewed by clicking on a red “commentary link” which will open a secondary window that includes the slide show and text. The Commentary “movies” require that you have the free Flash player installed on your computer. See the Getting Started Instructions if you need to install the Flash Player.
Once a Commentary window opens the slide show will begin automatically, but you can stop, pause or operate it manually by using the controls provided just beneath the caption in the control bar. Click on the “Pause/Play” button to start or stop the automatic slide show. If you pause the slide show, you can navigate through the images manually by using the “forward (+)” and “back (-)” buttons or by clicking on any of the numbers that indicate how many “slides” there are in the slide show. The current slide show is indicated by the red text.
To close the commentary, click on the “Close Commentary” button at the bottom of the window.
