MAJOR COLLECTORS

Streets that serve intracounty and intercommunity travel, but at a lower volume than arterials; they usually connect to an arterial to provide access to the surrounding land.  Access is generally not directly from this street but from a substreet connected to the collector.  They may serve community shopping areas, schools, parks and cluster developments.  The following streets are classified as "major collectors" (reference the Marshall Township Comprehensive Plan of 1991): Wexford Run Road, Brush Creek Road, Knob Road, Freeport Road, Thorn Hill Road and Commonwealth Drive
