WETLANDS

Those areas that are inundated or saturated by surface or ground water at a frequency and  duration sufficient to support, and that under normal circumstances do support, a prevalence of vegetation typically adapted for life in saturated soil conditions.  This definition shall include and be limited to wetlands as defined by:

(1)    Section 404 of the United States Clean Water Act, as may be amended from time to time.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, in appropriate legislation, as may be amended from time to time.
