Snow Removal Policy
Winter maintenance of Township roadways is undertaken by the municipal road crew according to the guidelines set forth in the Township’s snow removal policy. This written policy prioritizes the Township roadways under a three-tiered system, ensuring that arteries and bus routes are cleared first. Your cooperation in assisting our winter maintenance efforts is requested. Please do not park in the road right-of-way, do not shovel snow onto the right-of-way and, most importantly, exercise judgement and patience.
With regards to sidewalks, the following snow removal policy is in effect: All residents and business owners must clear their sidewalks within 12 hours after snow, sleet, or freezing rain has fallen. In addition to this, residents and business owners who have roofs that hang over pedestrian walkways must clear their roofs of dangerous snow or ice overhang.
